You may have wondered.. what does a day in the life of a digital course creator look like? Or is digital course creation for me? Or what's it like to have a digital course? Well, I have a sneak peek into this, just for you.
Here's a behind-the-scenes look into my days as a digital course creator.
What I do day to day is completely different depending on where I'm at in the digital course process.
If a course has already been launched and I'm between a launch or it's a funnel I'm running 24/7, then it's all about promotion. This is arguably the simplest part. You've done the hard work. You've created your course. And now you just want to get it out to the world.
In this case, I'm either working on SEO to drive traffic directly to my Web site to make sales. Or I'm promoting on social media through a link like in my Instagram bio. Or I'm emailing my list one to three emails to check it out (almost like a mini launch). I like to do this particularly for products that are always available for purchase as a refresh and reminder of how they can help my audience. And of course, there's running social media ads which promote these same products while I'm working.
If I'm in the midst of a launch, it's also about promoting but at another level. I'm either working on a mini Webinar or a full-blown one (with Webinar emails) or simply emailing my list an eight to ten email sequence to buy, or a combination of both. I'm promoting on social media in posts, videos, and Stories on multiple platforms. I'm revising the course funnel to make sure it's open for purchase instead of closed with a waitlist. I'm ensuring all the tech is working from the digital course platform to the email delivery to any downloadable digital assets as well as payment. I'm sometimes working on an additional bonus to add to the course especially if I've increased the price.
Launching is truly the most intense part. If you choose a lazy launch via email, it's still a lot of work but a lot less than creating any kind of Webinar. But a Webinar can be automated and used later on repeat. And most of the work is always front loaded when it comes to digital courses. Once you've created them, they are digital assets that can work for you over and over again, just like a book.
When you make course sales, particularly in your sleep with funnels that run 24/7, that is most rewarding because you truly realize the power of automation and not having to actively be doing much of anything.
I hope you've loved getting this inside scoop! Ready to learn how to get started on your digital course journey? Then sign up for my waitlist to find out how to create your digital course without the overwhelm and with a step-by-step blueprint.
